Page One, Chapter One

We moved big, heavy furniture into the new house yesterday. We slept the night there. We'll have our first dinner there tonight. Probably pasta with marinara. Editor's note: Pasta with marinara it was. Tasty.

It's officially a home. That makes us happy.

Really happy.

Pasta marinara on the floor served on paper plates is a real celebratory moving dinner! A good wine is helpful! Does the house sleep good?

Well, dining room tables are big furniture, so we managed to eat like civilized humans. It was nice.

Riley thinks the house sleeps good. He loves the place (as do we). Our bedroom needs some heavy drapes to mute the traffic noise, and then we'll be sleeping good too.

BTW, I can personally vouch for the fact that dining room tables are big furniture, as I am the proud owner of a purple toe after the Pickenpaugh dining room table fell on it during the unloading process.

commenting on Kir's last comment, OHSA mandates that women movers wear steel toed safety shoes. you are out of compliance.
