I attended a Mother's Day tea at Riley's preschool on Friday. I spent much of the time talking with another mother. Each time I went to take a bite of one of the crackers on my plate, I'd discover Riley busily munching away on it. Methinks he didn't quite grasp the concept of the tea. Ah, well. He did gift me with this little plant and card.
His teacher can't recall anything about what kind of flower seeds she gave the children to plant, except that they are supposed to require very little care. That's a good thing, since I'm still developing my green thumb. I hope I can keep the flowers alive long enough to discover what kind they are.
This is Riley pretending to smell his flowers. Based on his wrinkled nose, I guess they don't smell too good.
